Performances

Dr. Freund is an experienced recitalist, and can provide a program for your concert series or event.  She has given many recitals throughout the midwest, including at Oberlin College, Northwestern University, and Augustana College.  Most programs range from thirty minutes to two hours, and can be formal or casual.  Recitals can have a unifying theme, such as music and nature.  Programs can feature a single musical era exclusively, or display the breadth and diversity of the harp’s repertoire over time.

Educational Programs

“Meet the Harp” programs combine an informal harp concert with casual conversation, providing information on how a harp works, harp history, and harp techniques. Programs aim to debunk common harp myths, and promise to teach everyone something they didn’t know already. They offer all participants a chance to get up close with a harp and try their hand at playing a chord and a glissando, and close with a Q&A session.  Dr. Freund's programs are suitable for all ages, and are particularly popular in K-12 music classes and at adult social group meetings.
