La Rivière is an image-rich and flowing composition by French composer Jules Massenet (1842-1912), originally written for voice and piano. It features a text by Camille Bruno describing a singing river that is beautifully supported by an evocative and rich flowing accompaniment. This flexible arrangement features resonant and comfortable arpeggios in the harp accompaniment, and can be performed on a recital as a harp and voice duet, or customized for any harp and treble instrument combination.
